Enjoy the best waves on the Basque Coast with Waïmea Surf Shop. Located in Anglet, just a stone’s throw from Biarritz, Bidart and Guéthary, our shop is open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm.
We offer a range of modern, well-maintained equipment suitable for all levels:
- Foam boards (beginners & surf schools)
- Hard resin surfboards (shortboards, progressive boards, longboards)
- All-season neoprene wetsuits
- Foil Drive batteries
Proof of identity is required for all rentals.

How does the hire process work at Waïmea?
- Inspection: the equipment is checked on collection and return.
- Insurance: the hire does not include theft or damage cover. Please ensure you check your personal third-party liability cover.
Repair costs in the event of damage:
- Broken fin: €15
- Impact/knock: €20 (1 knock) / €40 (2 knocks)
- Damaged rudder housing: €50
- Split nose: €150
- Bent or broken board: €350
- Damaged FoilDrive battery: €600
