Surf school in Anglet: lessons and courses at La Chambre d'Amour

Learn to surf or hone your skills in complete safety with Waïmea Surf School, our surf school based in Anglet on the Basque Coast. Ideally situated opposite the famous surf spots at La Chambre d’Amour, we welcome you in a friendly atmosphere to share our passion for the ocean with you.

Surf lessons tailored to all levels (from 7 years old) Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills, our group lessons (1½ hours, maximum 8 pupils per instructor) and private lessons are suitable for both children and adults.

· Prerequisites: you must be able to swim 50 metres and be in reasonable physical condition.

· Organisation: sessions are scheduled around low tide to ensure optimal learning conditions.

Our commitment: safety & quality. To provide you with personalised instruction and impeccable supervision, our school adheres to a strict code of conduct:

· Qualified instructors: experienced and certified instructors, present in the water alongside you and with up-to-date first-aid qualifications.

· High-quality equipment: safe foam boards (50 per cent of which are replaced each year), wetsuits disinfected after every lesson, and coloured lycra tops for each group.

· Enhanced safety: daily analysis of the weather and wave conditions, a first-aid kit and emergency communication equipment on the beach.
