THUNDERBOLT HIHP

The THUNDERBOLT HIHP is the high-performance longboard that Harley Ingleby rode when he won his second ASP World Longboard title in 2014. It is an improvement on the board he used to win the 2009 world title.

The HIHP, shaped by Billy Tolhurst, is a true high-performance longboard with a continuous curved rocker that allows for changes of direction anywhere on the board.

The HIHP is flat under the nose to tighten up the turns. A V-shaped bottom in the centre keeps the rails free for quick rail-to-rail transitions.

A V-shape with double concaves and a flat section behind the fins enables powerful turns in all wave sizes. Normally set up as a 2+1 longboard, adding a quad configuration improves manoeuvrability in big waves where longer, high-speed turns are required.
