For the Black Advance+ series, we have added a discreetly positioned zinc anode, which we have integrated into the front wing mounting area

All AXIS Black Advance+ hulls feature updated shapes and now come with all the screws you need to attach your favourite wings and mast. These are pre-lubricated, ready to use straight out of the bag.

If you love pushing the boundaries of wave surfing (Prone, SUP, Wing or Wake), these will blow you away. Are you looking to push harder, make tighter turns and want an even more connected surfing experience? Our new Black ADVANCE+ fuselage configuration is made for you. This design moves the mast position 60 mm closer to the front foil (compared to our standard fuselages), opening up a whole new range of performance possibilities.

Our Advance Black range of fuselages is perfectly suited to the majority of riders across all disciplines, whilst these new Black ADVANCE+ fuselages are not intended to replace them but offer performance options and a more connected feel when you’re pushing the limits. If you’re an intermediate or expert surf/wave foiler, this could be an excellent upgrade for you.

When moving the mast position further forward on the fuselage, it is important to bear in mind that the effective length from the rear of the fuselage to the rear stabiliser foil is increased by the distance the mast has moved forwards. When choosing your Advance Black fuselage, it is advisable to bear this in mind and perhaps opt for a shorter length than you are used to.

If you are currently using an Ultrashort, you might instead consider the Crazyshort. Available in Short, Ultrashort, Crazyshort, Sillyshort and Psychoshort (520 mm only). Compared to our Standard Black fuselage range, the Advance+ offers a smoother and faster transition from one side to the other.

The feel that our testers appreciated is similar to the sensation of moving the ailerons forward in the boxes of a surfboard; initiating turns becomes easier, which is brilliant for surfing. There is a slight trade-off, however: this ease of turning comes at the expense of some tracking stability and speed. (So expect a slight impact on your upwind capability whilst riding and you may need to adjust your pumping technique slightly. If you enjoy big waves at very high speeds, you should consider the standard black fuselages instead).

With the mast positioned further forward on the fuselage, your base plate must be positioned further forward on the rails to place the foil in the same position as on the standard black fuselage.
