Whilst the Go Fish was fast with a very skate-like, fluid style and incredible glide through turns, he sought to boost its performance and make it more radical in carves and turns.

To achieve this, the Seaside has been refined with a narrower tail and fish section.

To complement its new shape, Rob Machado fitted the hull with a new double concave designed to make the board work as a quad, with a fin set specially designed by Futures Fins for this model!

Volcanic technology, combined with Helium, represents a major step forward in terms of performance, but also in terms of environmental impact, which is significantly reduced compared to the construction of traditional surfboards. Volcanic technology is made from basalt fibres extruded from volcanic rock. The rock is crushed, melted and extruded into woven fibres that form the fabric. The molten rock is then extruded through small nozzles to produce continuous filaments of basalt fibres.

The filaments are then cut into long-staple fibres and woven into laminate fabric.

The fabric has similar characteristics to carbon fibre in terms of strength and weight, but as the fibres are derived from organic raw materials, they form, when combined with bio-based resins, a better biodegradable alternative to traditional carbon fibre fabrics.
