Designed by the renowned Spanish brand Pukas Surf Shop, the Indio Mid Length has established itself as a must-have on the market. This ultra-versatile ‘Mini-Malibu’-style hybrid shape is perfect for making the transition from a foam board or for making the most of small summer conditions without being weighed down by a longboard.

Shape and technical specifications:

• General profile: similar to a longboard but shorter and more manoeuvrable, its wide nose and generous beam provide maximum stability on take-off.

• Rocker and rails: a flat rocker makes paddling and navigating soft sections easier, complemented by a slight lift at the tips to prevent the board from digging in. The 60/40 rails, which are round and forgiving, compensate for positioning errors whilst remaining responsive.

• Hull: a double concave extends all the way to the fins to generate natural speed, combined with a slight ‘V’ on the tail to make rail-to-rail transitions smoother.

• Set-up: thruster rig (3 fins) in Futures Fins boxes, usually supplied with fins.

Renowned for its rock-solid durability, Indio boards are built using a reinforced structure:

• Core: lightweight EPS foam block.

• Ultra-resistant epoxy lay-up: 3 layers of 6 oz fibreglass on the deck and 2 layers of 6 oz on the bottom. Together, this forms a 5-layer armour on the rails, making the board virtually indestructible in everyday use.
