The DaFin NSLA Ehukai fins celebrate the official partnership with Oahu’s North Shore Lifeguard Association, taking their name from the famous Hawaiian beach break. Crafted from premium natural rubber and fully buoyant, they combine the iconic colours of the North Shore lifeguards with an ultra-flexible, irritation-free foot pocket and a patented rigid blade to deliver explosive propulsion in the most intense conditions found at the Waimea site.
Da FIN was developed by Andy Cochran, an Australian who has been living in Hawaii for 28 years. Cochran worked as a lifeguard in Australia on the famous Bondi Beach and was one of the pioneers of surf lifesaving in Australia. With the help of world-renowned professional lifeguards in Hawaii such as Mark Cunningham and Brian Keaulana, Cochran developed a high-performance fin.
DAFIN combines the comfort of a boot with an innovative design to create a unique fin that is extremely effective in the most extreme conditions. Ten years ago, DAFIN was granted a US patent for its unique design.The Hawaiian Lifeguard Association has endorsed Dafin as the standard equipment for lifeguards for the past eight years.
