The Creatures Ethan Ewing Pin Tail grip is a high-performance rear grip pad developed in collaboration with a world-class professional surfer. Inspired by the Reliance III model that Ethan favours, this 5-piece signature pad features a narrow template specifically optimised to contour to the shapes of pin-tail, round-pin and step-up surfboards. It combines an ultra-lightweight Thermo-Lite foam base with the eco-friendly EcoPure additive to provide a raised grip and maximum board feel during critical manoeuvres. It features a pronounced 35 mm kick tail to effectively lock in the back foot, an 8 mm teardrop-shaped centre arch and ultra-strong 3M adhesive.
Inspired by the RELIANCE III grip that Etahn loves, we’ve used this pad as the basis for his new 5-piece signature pintail. It features the heel and toe cuts of the RELIANCE III, with the addition of a THERMO-LITE base for a raised connection during critical manoeuvres. Designed for pintails and step-up boards, the narrow template makes it perfect for any pintail, whilst the added stomp pad provides greater traction coverage.
