The FCS Protect Max Big Wave surf leash (available in lengths of 10 or 12 feet) is the ultimate safety accessory, specifically designed to withstand the force of extreme conditions and giant waves measuring 10 to 12 feet and above (over 3.5 metres). Designed for big-wave riders and sessions in heavy conditions, its key technical feature is a stainless-steel release pin fitted with a Hypalon loop, allowing you to detach instantly and easily from your board should the situation become critical underwater. Its high-density urethane cord has an ultra-sturdy 9 mm diameter to withstand phenomenal tensile forces without breaking. In terms of comfort and support, it features a super-thick 9 mm neoprene ankle strap with a non-slip silicone print to prevent the strap from twisting, complemented by a triple-wrap moulded Velcro cuff with Hypalon reinforcement. Fitted with an elongated moulded connector that guides the cord away to minimise tangles, and a 38 mm reinforced rail guard to protect the tail, this elite model – endorsed by the world’s top big-wave riders – offers absolute reliability where every detail counts.
