At the start of this winter, John John Florence approached Pyzel to design a board that would sit perfectly between the Red Tiger and his Ghost, in terms of both size and wave conditions. And so the Pyzel Power Tiger surfboard was born. Whilst the Red Tiger is the go-to choice for high-performance surfing in slower waves, head-high or shorter, the Power Tiger takes over perfectly as soon as the swell grows and gains power.
An evolution designed for powerful waves
The Pyzel Power Tiger surfboard is an improved version of the Red Tiger. It incorporates targeted design modifications to better handle bigger, more powerful and higher-quality waves. It retains the manoeuvrability developed with John John Florence, whilst providing the control needed when conditions become more demanding.
Design changes and high-speed performance
The main and most obvious difference on the Pyzel Power Tiger lies in its outline. Both the nose and tail have been narrowed, creating a more pronounced curve along the entire length of the board. These adjustments have a direct impact on how the board rides in the water:
- A narrower tail offers better stability at high speed.
- Increased control without the risk of skidding during high-intensity turns.
- An optimised overall curve to follow trajectories in hollow, powerful waves.
Available volumes for the Pyzel Power Tiger
To suit different rider sizes and paddling preferences, this board is available in several specific volumes:
- 5'8 Volume: 25.2 L
- 5'9 Volume: 26.4 L
- 5'10 Volume: 27.8 L
- 5'11 Volume: 29.2 L
