Stretch Mini Buzz Gun: The pocket-sized gun that defies gravity
What if you could charge into big, hollow waves with the manoeuvrability of a skateboard? That’s the completely mad challenge taken up by Californian shaper William ‘Stretch’ Riedel and extreme surfer Nathan Fletcher. The result: the Mini Buzz Gun, an out-of-this-world design that’s turning the big-wave surfing world on its head.
The anatomy of a compact monster
Don’t be fooled by its small size. The Mini Buzz Gun packs the features of a traditional gun into an ultra-short template (usually ridden between 7'0 and 8'0).
- A hybrid outline: the tapered nose and taut edge line of a classic gun, combined with the width of an ultra-short model.
- Volume and glide: Well-distributed thickness in the centre to maintain excellent paddling power and an early take-off on the wave.
- The Stretch signature: Aggressive concaves designed to generate instant speed from the moment you drop in.
- Quad fin setup: Four fins for absolute control on the line and flawless grip in hollow sections.
- Robust construction: Made from EPS/Epoxy (using the brand’s CFT or SK8 technologies), guaranteeing lightness, responsiveness and strength under stress.
