The Thunderbolt Diamond Drive 2.0 is the modern, optimised evolution of the famous versatile performance longboard designed by shaper Billy Tolhurst and two-time world champion Harley Ingleby. Compared to the original version, this DD2 features a much more balanced shape with a slightly rear-set widest point and a wider tail (pod), providing excellent support for noseriding and better acceleration in soft waves. It features a three-stage rocker that maximises paddling speed and trim, as well as a slight teardrop-shaped concave under the nose for perfect speed control during noseriding manoeuvres. A true Swiss Army knife of the HI series, it suits all skill levels and all conditions, from small summer swells to deep, hollow waves. Available at your Waïmea store in Anglet and on waimea.fr.
The original Diamond Drive was designed with a wider nose; the DD2 has a more balanced shape, with the same rocker and tail, and a slight teardrop-shaped concave has been incorporated to aid speed control when noseriding. All other changes are subtle and are the result of ongoing testing. An absolute workhorse and a tried-and-tested all-rounder that catches waves more easily than any other board in the HI series.
