The Firewire Mashup is the result of a collaboration between two renowned shapers, Rob Machado and Dan Mann. By combining the best features of their respective models, the Seaside and the Spitfire, they have created the ultimate hybrid performance surfboard for everyday waves. Built using eco-friendly Helium technology, it offers exceptional lightness, unique flex and impressive impact resistance. Thanks to its easy paddling, instant natural speed and great manoeuvrability, it transitions from rail to rail with astonishing fluidity. The Firewire Mashup is the new Firewire model designed by Mankine and Machado, built for small to medium waves.
Its width in the front third ensures a comfortable paddle, whilst its tapered tail provides exceptional manoeuvrability.
Whatever the conditions, the board is free from any unwanted movement. The Mashup really does act like a forgiving shortboard. It’s a fast, playful and highly responsive board. You can ride up and down the wave with no trouble at all. And best of all: you have fun. What more could you ask for?
According to its designer, Dan Mann, the Mashup rides somewhere between the Seaside and the Dominator from Firewire. For him, the Mashup is a higher-performance Seaside. You should therefore choose a larger size as it has more rail length and more volume.
Dan surfs a 5’7” Seaside and a 5’11” Dominator. He therefore decided to go for a 5’9” Mashup.
