The Lost Formula 1 Grom surfboard adapts all the technical features of Matt Biolos’ high-performance shortboard to suit the build of young surfers and children. Designed for competition, it features a fast-gliding rocker, a streamlined outline and precise rails that allow lighter riders to generate instant speed and carve radical turns in the critical sections of the waves at Waimea.
This board delivers an instant sensation of speed combined with lively lift. It allows you to carve powerful, fast turns from the front foot, whilst maintaining a precise and sharp finish under the back foot.
Compared to the Driver 3.0, the F1 shifts its volume and curves towards the rear. It features a narrower nose and a more curved outline under the back foot, ending in a more tapered tail for better grip. Under the board, the hull design is radical: a deep concave increases lift and speed, whilst accentuating the rail curve to facilitate radical turns. Despite fuller, more forgiving rails thanks to the ‘V’-shaped deck, the rear section remains slim with square edges for maximum control and drive.
