Al Merrick Two Happy surfboard: performance for everyday use

The Channel Islands Al Merrick Two Happy surfboard is a direct evolution of the famous Happy model. Designed by shaper Britt Merrick in close collaboration with the pro team – notably Dane Reynolds and Parker Coffin – this board retains all the speed and flow of its predecessor whilst offering a much more accessible, fluid and forgiving shape for everyday use.

It’s the ideal Channel Islands performance shortboard for surfers who want to push their limits on the water without ever compromising on comfort whilst paddling.

A Channel Islands performance shortboard for speed and paddling comfort

One of the Two Happy’s key strengths lies in its instant speed and responsiveness. Right from the start, the board offers an immediate feeling of lightness on the water, making ultra-fast manoeuvres easier.

To maximise paddling comfort, Britt Merrick has slightly thickened the rails and widened the tail. These adjustments provide greater lift, making it easier to catch waves and promoting rapid acceleration right from the first sections.

A smooth rail-to-rail transition with the Channel Islands Two Happy

Thanks to a more pronounced double concave between the fins, the Two Happy Channel Islands ensures a very smooth transition from one rail to the other. Your turns gain in precision, particularly in the trough of the wave. Furthermore, its reworked nose rocker offers increased versatility when carving turns.
