Bradley Lynx: a skateboard with a timeless design

Focus Shape: An in-depth look at the Bradley Lynx

The Bradley Lynx has established itself as a benchmark in the high-performance mid-length segment. Designed by Christian Bradley, it bridges the gap between the accessibility of the traditional mid-length and the manoeuvrability of a high-performance shortboard. A model that really comes into its own when oversized compared to a standard shape.

Technical analysis of this hybrid shape:

  • Outline & Volume Distribution: The beam is strategically positioned forward beneath the chest, optimising paddling power and ensuring an ultra-early take-off.

  • Tail & Hull: The rounded pin tail makes the ride smoother and ensures grip in the trough. It is paired with a bottom that transitions from flat to a single-to-double concave, the ultimate configuration for accelerating and facilitating rail-to-rail transitions.

  • Rocker & Volume Distribution: A mid-rocker at the nose prevents errors on take-off, whilst the flat section beneath the centre of gravity generates instant, natural speed.

  • Fins: Its thruster configuration maintains the tight turning radius and responsive feel typical of a performance board.
